Excellence Ringuette Staff
All our instructors share a passion and love of playing and coaching ringette. They have been actively involved at the local, provincial and national levels and have participated as players and coaches in numerous championship teams. Read below to get to know them a bit better!
Sharon Tait – Instructor/Coordinator for Sport-Etudes program
Sharon Tait – Instructor/Coordinator for Sport-Etudes program
- Level 2 coaching certification
- 15 years of ringuette coaching experience (5 years coaching AA)
- Over 30 years of playing experience including Provincial Championships and 5 National Championship participations (1 bronze medal – named player of the game)
- Involved as an instructor at numerous ringette schools and player/skill development programs
- 2 years on the Coaching Selection Committee for Lac St Louis Ringette
- Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Psychology
- CI coaching certification
- 7 years of ringuette coaching experience
- Over 18 years of playing experience including a double Provincial Championship title in 2006 (player and coach)
- Involved as an instructor in numerous ringuette schools and player/skill development programs
- Currently responsible for Player Development in Pointe-Claire
- Bachelor of Education, specializing in Kindergarten and Elementary school
- Over 20 years of ringuette playing experience
- Current NRL goalie with the number one team in Quebec, the Montreal Mission
- Named Best Goalie – Quebec Division since 2001 and 2 titles for NRL Goalie of the Year
- Goaltending development in Finland for 3 months with the Finnish goalie coach
- 2 years of coaching experience
- 5 years coaching experience
- Over 30 years of playing experience, including numerable Provincial Championship titles, 13 time National Championship participant (6 medals – 2 silver, 4 bronze, 3 First team All-Star nominations) and 3 WORLD Championship experiences (3 medals – 2 silver, 1 bronze)
- Involved as an instructor in numerous ringuette schools and player/skill development programs
- Canadian Fitness Professionals Association/YMCA Fitness Professionals (Certified as a Personal Fitness and Aerobics Instructor
- Over 30 years of ringuette playing experience, including numerable Provincial Championship titles, 10 time National Championship participant (2 bronze medals) and 1 WORLD Championship experience (1 bronze)
- Can-Fit Pro Certified Fitness Instructor/ACE Certified Personal Trainer
- 1 year of coaching experience
- Level 3 Coaching Certification
- 12 years of coaching experience, including 4 years coaching AA, 1 year as assistant coach for the Canada Winter Games AAA team, assistant coach of Lac St Louis NRL Open AA Team (2008-2009 season)
- Manager of Team Canada 2007
- 19 years of playing experience
- Participated in numerous National Championships
- 6 years as ringette program/camp instructor
- Executive Committee experience including Coaches Convenor for LSL, Director of Coaching for Ringuette Quebec, member of the Coaching and Athlete Development Committee for Ringette Canada
- 8 years of coaching experience in all categories
- 23 years of playing experience
- 11 years as a referee
- Former Director of Player Development for Pointe-Claire
- Involved as an instructor in numerous ringuette schools and player/skill development programs
- Degrees in Exercise Science and Physical Education
- Substitute physical education teacher in the Lester B. Pearson School Board
- Level 3 coaching certification
- 24 years of coaching experience including Cadette AAA and numerous appearances at the National Championships
- 26 years as a referee
- Inducted into the Canadian Ringuette Hall of Fame in 2006 (as an athlete)
- Served on Ringette Canada Coaching and Player Development Committee (1994-1996)
- Promoted to VP Technical of Ringette Canada in 1996
- Involved as an instructor in numerous ringette schools and player development/skills programs
